‘Korra,’ ‘Ninja Turtles’ head to Comic-Con

Nickelodeon preps presentation for San Diego fest

The reboot of the animated “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” TV show and “The Legend of Korra” will headline the lineup of series Nickelodeon is taking to San Diego next month for Comic-Con.

Jason Biggs, who voices Leonardo, Sean Astin (Raphael), Rob Paulsen (Donatello) and Greg Cipes (Michelangelo) as well as exec producer Ciro Nieli will be among panelists to discuss “TMNT” on Friday, while David Faustino, Janet Varney, P.J. Byrne, Seychelle Gabriel and Andrea Romano will join co-creators and exec producers Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko for the presentation of “The Legend of Korra” on the same day.

“TMNT” bows in the fall, while “Korra” wraps up its latest season on June 23.

The kids cabler will also produce presentations for “T.U.F.F. Puppy” and “The Fairly OddParents” on Thursday and “SpongeBob SquarePants” on Sunday at Comic-Con, with creators of the latter giving a sneak peek of the stop-motion holiday special “It’s a SpongeBob Christmas!”

Cast members and the show’s creators will also be on the floor of the San Diego Convention Center at the Nickelodeon booth to sign autographs, where the Power Rangers — Alex Heartman (Red Power Ranger), Najee De-Tiege (Blue Power Ranger), Brittany Pirtle (Yellow Power Ranger), Hector David Jr. (Green Power Ranger), Erika Fong (Pink Power Ranger) and Steven Skyler (Gold Power Ranger) — are set to appear.

Booth will also feature costumed characters of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob SquarePants, Monkey Quest, Winx and T.U.F.F. Puppy and giveaways of promo items for the shows.
