Docu series “Frozen Planet,” which premieres March 18 on Discovery, comes from the team that created “Planet Earth.” Executive producer Alastair Fothergill showed a clip of the extreme cold prior to the screening of the first three episodes. “Just like last Halloween in New York I hear,” he said, referring to last fall’s freak storm. Glenn Close said she would love to venture to the Antarctic: “Oh, it was just spectacular!” she said of the footage. “Some of the images — you just can’t believe how they even got there to film them.”
