Los Angeles indie label Dangerbird Records and Dangerbird Publishing announced an exec shakeup, with former head of promotions Jenni Sperandeo promoted to president, label co-founder Peter Walker revealed on Thursday.
Concurrently, the label also announced the departures of co-founder Jeff Castelaz and general manager Matt Solodky, who will leave to helm Cast Management, Castelaz’s management company, which merged with Dangerbird in 2008 and will relaunch as a separate entity.
Dangerbird Records was founded in 2004, with a roster including the Silversun Pickups, Minus the Bear, Fitz and the Tantrums and Liam Gallagher’s post-Oasis band, Beady Eye.
“This is a great move for everybody involved,” Walker said of Sperandeo’s appointment. “Dangerbird has always been about finding and nurturing great artists, and with Jenni’s talents leading the charge, the company’s future is brighter than ever.”
