Exec named vp of digital strategy for Sony Music's indie distrib

Rob Wetstone has been named vp of digital strategy at Sony Music Entertainment’s independent arm RED Distribution.

Wetstone will oversee all aspects of the indie distributor’s digital business, including sales and marketing, operations and strategy. He will report directly to RED prexy Bob Morelli.

For the last six years, Wetstone was vp of content at online retailer eMusic, heading up the company’s worldwide content partnerships, acquisitions and licensing as well as on-site editorial and merchandising.
