Linkin Park links up for social change

Band shoots stream for Rio + Social at Variety offices

Linkin Park rockers Dave Farrell and Mike Shinoda dropped by Variety ‘s Wilshire Boulevard offices to shoot a livestream for broadcast at Rio + Social, the U.N. Conference on Sustainable Development that took place Tuesday in Brazil. With 42 million Facebook friends, the band is encouraging fans to spread the word on social change, clean energy and sustainable development through social networking. Linkin Park’s appearance concluded with an acoustic set of songs from its new album “Living Things.”
