Musical based on Woody Allen film aims for Broadway in 2013
Douglas McGrath. Julian Schlossberg and Letty Aronson, whose prior legit producing credits include Allen outings “Relatively Speaking” and “Death Defying Acts,” produce the tuner. Score will be drawn from pre-existing songs from the 1920s period in which the Gotham-set story takes place. Plot centers on an aspiring playwright and the mobster’s moll who’s starring in his play. Exact song list has yet to be nailed down. Production targets a Broadway berth in the 2013-14 season, with further production details still to be set.
