PR agent launches stage-centric company

Veteran PR exec Sharon Ellman has hung out a shingle for her own praisery, Momentum Media, with the aim of working extensively in the Broadway and legit community.

She exits Dash Media, of which she was a founding partner, to launch the new company. The org’s focus on theater represents something of a homecoming for Ellman, whose father Leonard Ellman was a prop and set supplier for the stage. In the past she’s also repped Gorilla Repertory Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park (with which she’ll continue to work at Momentum), Kentucky Rep and Teatro Circulo.

Prior to Dash, Ellman was a veep of media relations at Rubinstein. Her previous projects have included the 2000 launch of Manhattan’s AOL Time Warner Center, a PR campaign for VTB Bank prexy Andrei Kostin and event promotion for Don King Prods.

Ellman’s Momentum Media is based in offices in midtown Gotham.
