Sanders heads to O&M

Longtime publicist joins Broadway PR firm

Longtime legit publicist Pete Sanders has jumped over to join O&M Co., the Broadway praisery led by Rick Miramontez.

Sanders spent 13 years as the head of his own PR shingle prior to stints at 15 Minutes PR and then JS2 Communications. He’s worked on a slew of shows, both on Broadway and on tour, including revivals “Chicago” and “Annie Get Your Gun,” new musicals “Xanadu” and “Spring Awakening” and plays “Journey’s End” and “Thurgood.”

Among his current clients are the musical “Allegiance,” which recently wrapped up an engagement in San Diego; Gotham’s Magnet Theater and Storm Theater Company; and personal clients Marsha Mason and Lynda Carter, among others.

Launched in 2006, O&M made its mark with “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,” handling the publicity magnet through its long, rocky preview period. Newer clients include Tony winner “Clybourne Park,” current Rialto offering “Peter and the Starcatcher” and hipster dance-theater-installation amalgam “Sleep No More.”
