Four-actor ensemble includes Harner

Jason Butler Harner is among the thesps to star in the Off Broadway production of Mike Bartlett’s play “Cock.”

Cory Michael Smith (“The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World”), Amanda Quaid (“Galileo”) and Cotter Smith (“Next Fall”) also star in the show, about a man (Smith) who is surprised to find himself falling in love with a woman (Quaid) during a time-out in his relationship with his boyfriend (Harner).

Harner, whose roster of Gotham stage credits include “The Coast of Utopia” and “Our Town,” is a regular on FOX skein “Alcatraz.”

Helmed by James Macdonald — who also directed the play’s well-received world preem at London’s Royal Court Theater in 2009 — the production has booked a run at the Duke on 42nd Street, where the show begins previews May 1 ahead of a May 17 opening. Commercial producers Stuart Thompson (“Death of a Salesman”) and Jean Doumanian (“The Mountaintop”) produce with the Royal Court.

In London, Bartlett’s upcoming outings include “Love, Love, Love” at the Court as well as a new stage adaptation of “Chariots of Fire,” in a run timed to coincide with the Olympics.
