The title character in the Roundabout Theater Company’s Broadway revival of “Harvey” is a 6-foot-tall invisible bunny. That means actors in the show, which opened Thursday at Studio 54, envision their own version of Harvey.
“I imagine this gigantic rabbit with a slow grand hop, taking nine feet at a time with each hop,” said Charles Kimbrough at the opening night shindig at the recently renovated event space at midtown’s Liberty Theater.
Jim Parsons, playing the role Jimmy Stewart did in the 1950 film, said he’s enjoyed taking a break from the chilly geek he plays on “The Big Bang Theory.”
“It’s made me a nicer person — for now. I’m sure I’ll go back to being an ass come September.”
