Longtime legit firm Alan Wasser Associates has shifted to become Foresight Theatrical, with AWA execs Aaron Lustbader and Mark Shacket joining AWA partners Alan Wasser and Allan Williams as the toppers of the new company.
As with AWA, Foresight will offer general management and exec producing services for Broadway, Off Broadway and touring live entertainment. Name change will only affect AWA, not the two orgs affiliated with it — marketing firm Type A and road booking agency AWA Partners.
Wasser founded Alan Wasser Associates in 1981, and Williams joined as a partner in 1999. Lustbader and Shacket have taken on an increasing share of responsibility at AWA over the last decade, Williams said.
Foresight’s current projects include the Gotham productions of “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” and “Scandalous”(which just began previews), as well as tuner “Kinky Boots,” currently trying out in Chicago prior to its Broadway berth this fall, and the tour of “Million Dollar Quartet.” Foresight also exec produces the stage version of “I Love Lucy” now playing in Chicago.
With 22 employees, Foresight will remain in AWA’s midtown Gotham offices.
