Working Title Film partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner have reupped its deal with Universal Pictures through 2015.
Similar to what Universal did when it reupped with Imagine Entertainment, Universal has scaled back the deal turning it from an exclusive to a first-look deal with the shingle.
“Working Title has been an invaluable partner for Universal with our two companies enjoying tremendous success on films that have delighted audiences all over the world,” said Fogelson and Langley in a statement. “Tim and Eric are true leaders in the global production space which gives us more of an opportunity to be in business with some of the best international talent and we’re thrilled to be extending our partnership.”
Working Title has several films set to release this year including “Les Miserables” and “Anna Karenina” which Focus will distribute.
“We are delighted to be continuing our relationship with our friends at Universal. It has been a long and fruitful relationship and we are very much looking forward to more successes over the coming years.”
The banner has had a deal with U since 1999 producing such films as “Love Actually” and “Bridget Jones’ Diary.”
