Film unit acquires North American rights to Sundance pic
Wolfe Releasing has acquired North American rights to Indion Entertainment/Maya Entertainment’s coming of age story “Mosquita y Mari,” which screened at Sundance.The Film Collaborative will be releasing the pic theatrically this year and Wolfe plans to release the film on VOD and DVD in 2013. “Mosquita,” writer/director Aurora Guerrero’s debut feature, focuses on a deep, but complicated love between two young Latinas growing up in South East L.A.’s immigrant community. “Mosquita y Mari” was produced by Chad Burris and written and directed by Aurora Guerrero and stars Fenessa Pineda and Venecia Troncoso as the love struck teens.
