Wolfe nabs ‘Frog’

Aquires North American rights to Quentin Lee pic

Wolfe Video has acquired all North American rights to Quentin Lee’s family drama “White Frog” and plans a theatrical run followed by a VOD and DVD release next year.

“Frog” was produced by Chris Lee, Joel Soisson, and Ellie Wen and exec produced by David Henry Hwang and Kevin Iwashina. Film was written by Fabienne Wen and Ellie Wen.

Booboo Stewart, Joan Chen, BD Wong, Harry Shum Jr., Gregg Sulkin, Kelly Hu and Tyler Posey star. (TV’s “Teen Wolf”). Soisson, and Ellie Wen. It was executive produced by David Henry Hwang and Kevin Iwashina.

Stewart portrays a neglected teen with mild Asperger’s syndrome whose life is challenged and ultimately changed forever when tragedy hits his family. “White Frog” had its world premiere as the opening night film at the 2012 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival.

Deal was brokered by Wolfe President Maria Lynn with Preferred Content’s Kevin Iwashina and Christine D’Souza on behalf of the filmmakers.
