Scott Marshall directs indie sports comedy
Luke Wilson is in final negotiations to star in the upcoming indie sports comedy “Million Dollar Man.”
He will play a down-on-his-luck route driver for a soda company who’s given a second chance in life as a football kicker. Project was announced at Sundance with Todd Slater of Slater Brothers Entertainment and John Gatpandan, Alex Schrader and Anderson Hinsch of Portofino Pictures are producing and financing.
Scott Marshall (“Blond Ambition”), son of Garry Marshall, is directing from a script by Schrader.
Slater just wrapped the sports film “The General” and is releasing the comedy “My Uncle Rafael” in September.
Wilson is repped by CAA.
