WB’s Barry Meyer set for USC film school commencement

Bryan Singer to receive honor

Warner Bros. Chairman and CEO Barry Meyer will deliver the commencement speech for the USC School of Cinematic Arts 2012 graduation, Dean Elizabeth M. Daley announced on Wednesday.

Bryan Singer will receive the Mary Pickford Alumni Award.

Ceremony will be held at the Shrine Auditorium on May 11.

Meyer assumed his current position in 1999 after working as exec veep and COO since 1994.

Singer produced last year’s hit “X-Men: First Class.” He recently helmed “Jack the Giant Killer,” skedded for a March 2013 release.
