Wayne Kramer does ‘Circuit’ at Par

Studio nabs pitch from 'Cooler' helmer; Mary Parent to produce

Paramount Pictures has acquired a pitch dubbed “The Circuit” from “The Cooler” helmer Wayne Kramer who is on board to write and direct.

Mary Parent will produce through her Disruption Entertainment banner. Renee Tab is exec producing.

Plot details are being kept under wraps.

Kramer’s most recent pic was 2009’s “Crossing Over.” The helmer, repped by WME and Sentient Entertainment, just finished production on “The Pawnshop Chronicles” starring Paul Walker, Elijah Wood and Norman Reedus.

Parent has been active on and off the Paramount lot since exiting MGM and signing her first-look deal with Par in 2011.

She currently has Paramount and New Regency’s “Noah” and Legendary’s “Pacific Rim” in production. She’s in development on a handful of titles including Par’s untitled “SpongeBob SquarePants” pic.
