Fantasy actioner pushed back to Oct. 2013

Warner Bros. has moved fantasy actioner “The Seventh Son” back eight months from Feb. 15, 2013, to Oct. 18, 2013.

Formerly known as “The Spook’s Apprentice,” “The Seventh Son” is adapted from Joseph Delaney’s young adult series about a teen who’s the seventh son of a seventh son, and who learns about wizardry from a forbidding spook. Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander star.

Sergei Bodrov is directing “Seventh Son.” Producers are Legendary’s Thomas Tull, Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk and Lionel Wigram.

Aaron Guzikowski is working on the script during production. No other films have been set for release yet on Oct. 18, 2013.

Warner has also moved its supernatural love story “Beautiful Creatures” back two weeks to fill the Feb. 15 slot. Two other pics — Fox’s “Good Day to Die Hard” on TWC’s “Escape From Planet Earth” on Feb 14.
