Tony Bennett doc heading to theaters Oct. 24

'The Zen of Bennett' premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April

Tony Bennett doc “The Zen of Bennett” will receive a theatrical release via Abramorama, launching with an Oct. 24 opening in New York.

Zen,” which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April, will debut in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Santa Barbara and Palm Springs on Nov. 2 and continue to expand to select cities nationwide throughout November and December.

Benedetto Films also announced the company has secured a deal with Netflix for the exclusive streaming availability of the film on Nov. 12 in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Latin America.

Danny Bennett created and produced the film with Jennifer Lebeau. Unjoo Moon directed.

In the documentary, set on the eve of the singer’s 85th birthday, he reflects over his 60-year career while looking ahead within the context of a recording project.
