Thornton’s ‘Car’ to close Austin fest

James Franco set for 'Francophrenia' screening

The Austin Film Festival has selected Billy Bob Thornton’s “Jayne Mansfield’s Car” as its closing-night film on Oct. 25, with Thornton set to attend.

The festival also announced that James Franco will be in attendance at the screening of “Francophrenia,” his mini-thriller comprised of footage from his appearances on “General Hospital,” on Oct. 19. 

Other recent film additions include “Hyde Park on Hudson,” Terry George’s “Whole Lotta Sole” and “Deadfall,” starring Eric Bana and Olivia Wilde.
