SuVen options novel

'Marigold Murders' gears up for winter shoot

Production company SuVen Entertainment has optioned Daniel Sorine’s novel “The Marigold Murders” for a feature adaptation.

Attached to produce the film are Nicole Luccozzi, co-topper of SuVen with actor-writer Matt Sutherland, and Shane Stanger (“Bernie”). Novelist Sorine will pen the screenplay with his son Dan Sorine, while Sutherland will oversee the creative process with an eye toward creating a vehicle for young thesps, including himself.

Storyline follows an NYPD lieutenant whose wintertime visit to his uncle upstate turns into a chase to catch a serial killer. Filming is targeted to begin in late 2012 or early 2013.

Young production company SuVen is also at work developing a TV drama called “Through the Fence.”
