Stephen Traynor joins Toronto’s Film Farm

Vet line producer will shepherd Egoyan's 'Queen of the Night'

TORONTO — The Film Farm founders Simone Urdl and Jennifer Weiss announced Tuesday that respected Toronto line producer Stephen Traynor is now a partner in the company and will produce Atom Egoyan’s recently announced “Queen of the Night,” starring Ryan Reynolds.

“Having Stephen as a core member of the team will allow The Film Farm to expand its production and development slates,” added Jennifer Weiss.

Traynor line-produced Deep Mehta’s “Midnight’s Children,” set to world preem Sunday in Toronto, Egoyan’s “Adoration” and Brian De Palma’s “Redacted” for Film Farm, as well as Denis Villeneuve’s “Incendies.”

“The Film Farm is in the vanguard of excellence on the current Canadian scene,” commented Traynor. “I look forward to contributing to its growth.”
