Pic stars Pacino, Walken, Arkin

Lionsgate has set a Jan. 11 release date for action-comedy “Stand Up Guys,” starring Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin.

Story centers on aging con men who try to get the old gang back together for one last hurrah. Fisher Stevens directed from a script by Noah Haidle with Sidney Kimmel, Gary Luchesi, Tom Rosenberg and Jim Tauber producing.

Lionsgate plans a moderate release for “Stand Up Guys.” It will open against two wide releases — Paramount’s “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” and Warner Bros.’ “Gangster Squad,” which was pushed back from a release this month in the wake of the Aurora, Colo., shootings.
