'Sunshine,' 'Stretch' also head to Germany

BERLIN — David Hayter’s supernatural thriller “Wolves,” starring Jason Momoa and Lucas Till (“X-Men: First Class”), is heading to Germany via SquareOne.

It’s one of a number of new acquisitions secured by the Munich-based company at the recent American Film Market.

Also in the distrib’s shopping basket was Vertigo Films’ comedy-musical “Walking on Sunshine,” by “StreetDance” helmers Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini, and set to star Kylie Minogue and Gemma Arterton.

SquareOne likewise nabbed Stephen Frears’ drama “Philomena,” with Judi Dench and Steve Coogan.

Fellow Teutonic distrib Koch Media, meanwhile, picked up Christine Jeffs’ romantic comedy “Wonderful Tonight,” starring Amanda Seyfried and Patrick Dempsey; David Gordon Green’s thriller “Joe,” with Nicolas Cage; and Joe Carnahan’s action comedy “Stretch,” which revolves around a Los Angeles limo driver, played by Patrick Wilson.
