Sony Pictures Animation is marking the 10th anniversary of its toon shop with weekly screenings and panel seshes with creatives on the Culver City lot.

The series begins Wednesday at the Ray Harryhausen Theater with 2006’s “Open Season,” the animation unit’s inaugural release. “Surf’s Up” (2007) unspools on Sept. 13, followed by “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” (2009) on Sept. 20 and “The Smurfs” (2011) on Sept. 27.

On Sept. 29, Sony Pictures Animation, ASIFA-Hollywood and Animation magazine will host a screening of SPA’s latest release, “Hotel Transylvania” (which opens Sept. 28), at a public venue to be determined.
