She's named senior VP for northern Europe

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has tapped Kim Overall as senior VP for northern Europe. Andrew Armstrong will be leaving the company this month after 14 years of service.

Overall, who will report to exec VP of worldwide commercial Matt Brown, joined the company in 2008 as managing director for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to SPHE, she was European VP of international sales and marketing at Paramount Home Entertainment, as well as veepee of international marketing for DreamWorks Home Entertainment. Both positions were London based.

Overall’s responsibilities in the new post will include leading and implementing the commercial strategies and program development throughout the U.K. and northern Europe while ensuring strategic alignment among all new release, catalog and TV releases for the company. In addition, she’ll have a key role in the recently formed SPHE Worldwide Commercial team.

Armstrong, who joined SPHE as U.K. marketing director in 1998, has held several posts at the company including managing director for the U.K. and Ireland.
