Thesp set to star opposite Meat Loaf in indie

“Big Love” thesp Douglas Smith is set to star opposite Meat Loaf in the indie “Stage Fright.” Jerome Sable is helming from a script he wrote, which is in the vein of his short “The Legend of Beaver Dam,” about a teen who lands a role in a Broadway-bound show. Her joy disappears when the production is terrorized by a masked killer.

The Paradigm- and Medavoy Management-repped Smith recently wrapped production on Fox’s “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” and can be seen in “Antiviral,” which preemed at Cannes.

Ari Lantos and Jonas Bell Pasht of Serendipity Point Films are producing.

In addition to writing and directing, Sable wrote and composed the music and lyrics with Eli Batalion.

Sable is represented by CAA and Principato Young. His lawyer is Jamie Feldman of Lichter, Nichols, Grossman, Adler, Feldman.
