Expanding its New York digital media and advertising practice, advisory and capital-raising firm Mesa Global has hired mergers and acquisitions expert Robert Ennis as managing director.
Ennis, who most recently served as a managing director within the M&A division of financial services firm Petsky Prunier, will work from Mesa’s New York office.
“Bob has an incredible depth of experience both on the investment banking and strategic side of new-media M&A and private-placement transactions in verticals that are very important to us,” Mesa founding partner Mark Patricof said in a statement announcing the hire. “We believe he will bring a lot of added value to our existing clients as well as strengthen our sector coverage as we continue to expand our business.”
Mesa, a merchant bank founded by partners Jerome Levy, Mark Patricof and Brian Richards in 2003, focuses exclusively on media and entertainment industry transactions. Company has advised on more than $2.6 billion of transactions, including the sale of lyrics database Metrolyrics and Tinopolis’ acquisition of Arthur Smith and Co., one of the largest producers of unscripted television in the U.S.
Company recently bulked up its staff to include former Media Rights Capital exec Marni Wieshofer and banking vet Roddy Moon as managing directors.
