Relativity inks Thai output deal

Company teams with Sahamongkol Film International

Relativity Media has closed a new foreign output deal with Thai distributor Sahamongkol Film International for distribution of Relativity’s movies in Thailand through 2015, which will include “Movie 43,” “Safe Haven,” “21 and Over,” “Malavita” and “Turkeys.”

Deal was announced Friday at AFM.

Sahamongkol has handled distribution in Thailand on previous Relativity’s movies such as “Dear John,” “Haywire,” “Act of Valor” and “Mirror Mirror.”

Relativity has also renewed a trio of output deals — Aqua/Pinema Group initially signed its deal with Relativity in 2008 to handle releases in Turkey and has extended its agreement to 2018; Gulf Films originally signed its deal in 2008 for the Middle East and has extended through 2018; MGN Films initially signed its agreement for CIS/Eastern Europe in 2008 and has extended the deal through 2019.
