“Bellflower” thesp Rebekah Brandes has landed a leading role in the indie pic “Nothing to Fear,” which former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash is producing through his Slasher Films banner.Veteran storyboard artist Anthony Leonardi III will make his directorial debut with the horror-thriller, which Slash is also scoring. Cast includes James Tupper, Anne Heche, Clancy Brown and Ethan Peck. Story follows a family that moves to a small town seeking a better life, only to run up against a charismatic but emotionally conflicted man of the cloth (Brown). Brandes will play the daughter of Tupper’s and Heche’s characters. Slasher Films partners Rob Eric and Michael Williams will produce with Slash, while Shaun Redick and Ray Mansfield will exec produce via their Movie Package Co. Midlife Crisis Prods. is co-financing the pic, and Content Film is handling foreign rights. Brandes will next be seen in indie drama “The Romance of Loneliness,” and she just wrapped the horror-comedy “April Apocalypse,” in which she stars opposite Reece Thompson. She’s repped by Caliber Media and CAA.
