PR vet joins 20th Century Fox in NYC

Louise Kaufman to head studio publicity office in Gotham

Twentieth Century Fox has hired public relations exec Louise Kaufman to head the studio’s New York publicity office effective May 29.

Kaufman, who has more than two decades’ experience with companies including Summit and Paramount, will report to exec VP of publicity Bumble Ward.

At Summit, PR vet handled campaigns for the “Twilight” franchise as well as “Source Code,” “Red” and “The Hurt Locker.”

Kaufman replaces Emily Bear, who left her post with Fox in March after less than three months on the job.

“We are extremely lucky to have such a seasoned pro heading our New York publicity efforts,” Ward said of a Kaufman in a Wednesday release announcing the appointment. “She has not only managed campaigns for some of the biggest blockbusters and most critically acclaimed films of all time, but she has the superb reputation of cultivating lasting relationships across the industry.”
