Named president of publicity, replacing Sarah Greenberg Roberts

Former Weinstein Company exec Dani Weinstein is returning to TWC as president of publicity, filling the post vacated by Sarah Greenberg Roberts when she ankled the company in May.

Weinstein, who will begin serving in her post Aug. 6, worked for TWC for 11 years before joining publicity shingle ID in 2010.

New staffer will oversee pr strategy for all of the company’s titles and will report to co-chairman Harvey Weinstein and COO David Glasser.

During her time with ID, Weinstein oversaw the campaigns for such Weinstein Co. films as “The Artist,” “My Week With Marilyn” and “The King’s Speech.”

“Dani is incredibly talented and has been an important element in our success for many years both at TWC and at ID, and we’re thrilled she’s coming home,” said Harvey Weinstein in a statement announcing the news. “We look forward to many more projects and a continued long relationship with ID.”

Greenberg Roberts exited TWC in May amidst rumblings that the former PR exec had been seeking to exit her contract for months.
