Phase 4 nabs ‘Generation Um…’

Company gets U.S, Canadian rights to indie drama

Phase 4 Films has acquired all U.S. and Canadian rights to director Mark L Mann’s indie drama “Generation Um…” with plans for a spring theatrical release.

Keanu Reeves, Bojana Novakovic and Adelaide Clemens star in “Generation,” which was shot in 2010 in New York City.

Pic follows a day in the life of Reeves’ character and his two cohorts as they live life on the fringe, immersed in sex, drugs and indecision. As they navigate their daily routine of bars and crowds, they embark on a path of self-discovery.

Mann directed from his own screenplay for the film, with Alison Palmer, Caroline Kaplan, and Lemore Syvan producing. Exec producers include Nicolas Chartier, Cassian Elwes, Zev Foreman and Jared Goldman.

Deal was negotiated by Phase 4’s Larry Greenberg and Sam Posner with Elwes on behalf of the filmmakers, Paul Knell on behalf of Company Films and Jenn Lee on behalf of Voltage Pictures.
