Phase 4 acquires ‘Long Time Gone’

Film unit nabs U.S., Canadian rights from Smokewood Entertainment

Phase 4 Films has acquired U.S. and Canadian rights from Smokewood Entertainment to Sarah Siegel-Magness’ “Long Time Gone.”

The film stars Virginia Madsen, Graham Rogers, Amanda Crew, Zach Gilford, Anthony LaPaglia, Eva Longoria and Sam Trammell.

Based on the novel “Angel Angel” by April Stevens, “Long” was produced by Bobbi Sue Luther, Gary Magness and Karen McCullah, who also wrote the screenplay.

Phase 4 will release the film day-and-date in theaters and on demand in the spring.

Story follows Madsen’s character, whose idyllic life in Connecticut is thrown into disarray when she discovers her husband’s extramarital affair.

The deal was negotiated by Phase 4’s Larry Greenberg and Katharyn Howe with Paradigm’s Nick LoPiccolo and Ben Weiss on behalf of the filmmakers.
