Jennifer Todd has been tapped as president of Pearl Street, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company.
Todd is ankling as president of film at the Mark Gordon Company, where she recently produced CBS Films’ “The To-Do List” and “Celeste and Jesse Forever” for Sony Classics.
Pearl Street Films launched in October with a first-look deal at Warner Bros., announcing the launch of the Whitey Bulger biopic with Affleck directing and Damon starring as the Bulger, head of Boston’s Winter Hill Gang. Bulger was captured in Santa Monica last year after being on the lam for 16 years.
The company is also in post-production on Gus Van Sant’s “Promised Land,” which is co-written, produced by and starring Damon.
Chay Carter and Drew Vinton remain in their exec slots at Pearl Street.
Prior to working with Gordon, Todd and her sister Suzanne produced under their Team Todd banner with credits including Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” “Across the Universe,” “Memento,” and the “Austin Powers” trilogy.
Affleck’s made three films for Warners — “Gone Baby Gone,” “The Town” and “Argo,” which premieres next week at the Toronto Intl. Film Festival.
