The Lincoln Center has postponed tonight’s fundraiser in conjunction with the “Jack Reacher” premiere.
Paramount Pictures released a statement supporting the decision to postpone the event.
“We support Lincoln Center and their decision to postpone their fundraiser this evening.”
The Gotham postponement was made as a gesture of respect after the Newtown, Conn. killings on Friday.
Par has also moved to Wednesday the Pittsburgh preem of “Jack Reacher” that Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie are expected to attend. The original date for the premiere was this past Saturday.
The film is set to bow on Dec. 21.
Earlier, Twentieth Century Fox cancelled festivities for Saturday’s premiere of family pic ” Parental Guidance” after the Newtown killings.
