Oscar Isaac puts ‘January’ on calendar

'Drive' thesp in talks to star opposite Viggo Mortensen

Oscar Isaac continues to build on an already busy slate as the “Inside Llewyn Davis” star is in negotiations to star in “Two Faces of January” opposite Viggo Mortensen.

Isaac will reteam with “Drive” scribe Hossein Amini, who adapted the script and will make his helming debut.

Based on the Patricia Highsmith novel, the story follows a con artist, his wife and a stranger who try to flee a foreign country after one of them is caught up in the murder of a police officer.

Pic is set to go into production at the end of the year.

Besides getting the lead role in the Coen brothers’ “Inside Llewyn Davis,” Isaac also landed a part in the indie “Therese Raquin.” The thesp has a handful of films coming out this year, including Universal’s “The Bourne Legacy,” Anchor Bay’s “10 Years” and Fox’s “Won’t Back Down.”

He is repped by UTA, Jason Spire of Inspire Entertainment and Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson and Binder.
