Young thesp joins Josh Duhamel in romantic thriller

Fresh off playing Gerard Butler’s son in Millennium Films’ “Playing for Keeps,” young thesp Noah Lomax has been cast as Josh Duhamel’s son in Relativity Media’s romantic thriller “Safe Haven.”

Based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, pic stars Julianne Hough as a woman with a mysterious past who lands in Southport, North Carolina where her bond with a widower (Duhamel) and his children forces her to confront the dark secret that haunts her.

Lomax will have to tap into some complicated emotions, as his character is coping with the loss of his mother.

Lasse Hallstrom is directing from a script by Dana Stevens and Les Bohem. Sparks is producing with Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh and Temple Hill principals Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey.

Lomax, who has also appeared in AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” will next be seen in Gabriele Muccino’s comedy “Playing for Keeps,” which Film District will release on Dec. 7. He’s repped by Principato-Young Entertainment, AEF Talent and Houghton Talent.
