Monterey Media picks up ‘The Kitchen’ with Laura Prepon

Dreama Walker, Bryan Greenberg co-star in Ishai Setton's ensemble comedy

Monterey Media has acquired U.S. and Canadian rights for all media to Ishai Setton’s ensemble comedy “The Kitchen,” starring Laura Prepon, Dreama Walker and Bryan Greenberg.

Monterey is planning a first quarter theatrical release.

Emily Ting is the producer. Film was shot in Glendale and is set entirely inside a kitchen.

Story, penned by Jim Beggarly (“Free Samples”), is centered on Prepon’s character, whose best friend throws her a 30th birthday party while she’s in no mood to celebrate. She just left her job, as well as her cheating boyfriend (Greenberg) and her cynical little sister (Walker) is threatening to overshadow the whole affair with an inappropriate party announcement.

Prepon will be seen Netflix’s upcoming series “Orange is the New Black.” Walker is in “Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23.”
