Mimi Gianopulos gets ‘Job’ for CBS Films

Stars in Lionsgate's upcoming 'What to Expect'

Rising thesp Mimi Gianopulos (“What to Expect When You’re Expecting”) has joined the cast of CBS Films’ comedy “Get a Job,” which marks the return of helmer Dylan Kidd (“Roger Dodger”) behind the camera.

Written on spec by Kyle Pennekamp and Scott Turpel, script follows a college graduate and his friends who have to lower their expectations about life as they enter the real world during a recession.

“Project X” thesp Miles Teller will star alongside Anna Kendrick, Bryan Cranston and Jay Pharaoh.

Gianopulos will play an edgy barista who helps Cranston’s character regain his confidence and search for work after he’s laid off from his job.

Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher are producing “Get a Job” through their Double Feature Films banner. Pic is skedded to start production next month.

Gianopulos makes her studio-film debut in Lionsgate’s motherhood comedy “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” in which she plays Kendrick’s funny roommate. Thesp is repped by ICM.
