Michael LeSieur set for ‘Jones,’ ‘Le Mac’

Parkes/MacDonald producing comedy 'Jones'

Michael LeSieur has come on to a pair of projects — “Keeping Up With Jones” at Parkes/MacDonald and the “Le Mac” remake at Media Rights Capital and Red Hour Films.

Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald picked up the high-concept comedy pitch “Jones” preemptively from LeSieur (“You, Me and Dupree”). Parkes and MacDonald are producing and keeping the logline under wraps.

LeSieur has also been tapped to adapt “Le Mac,” which Ed Helms is attached to star in and produce. Guy Stodel is also producing the remake of the French pic, which follows a mild-mannered banker forced to masquerade as a notorious gangster and pimp.

LeSieur recently penned an adaptation of Susan Trott’s “Flamingo Thief,” a LeSieur passion project for over a decade while the manuscript was unpublished. Will Ferrell is attached to “Flamingo Thief,” with Red Hour and Kaplan/Perrone producing and the project currently out to directors.

LeSieur is repped by CAA and Frankel, McKuin and Whitehead.
