He'll lead attorneys representing talent, tech, etc.

Matt Galsor has been named chairman of the entertainment group at Greenberg Glusker, where he’ll lead a team of attorneys repping talent, indies, vidgame companies and tech firms.

Galsor represents Tom Cruise, James Cameron, Ubisoft Entertainment, Tony Danza, Harmony Korine and Mark Danielewski, among others. His recent work includes Ubisoft’s deal with New Regency to launch a movie franchise based on “Assassin’s Creed”; structuring Cruise’s deal for “Jack Reacher,” “Oblivion,” and “All You Need Is Kill”; and repping Cameron in deals with National Geographic, with Cirque de Soleil for World’s Away 3D and and for his acquisition of the Vanessa Michael Munroe series of novels by Taylor Stevens.

Galsor has been a transactional attorney in the practice.

Bert Fields, a partner at Greenberg Glusker, said in a statement, “Matt Galsor may be the brightest lawyer I have ever dealt with. He’s certainly the funniest. It’s an unbeatable combination.”
