Marks on board for ‘1000 to 1’

Stars as lacrosse player in inspirational drama

Hannah Marks (“Necessary Roughness”) has been cast opposite David Henrie in indie inspirational project “1000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story.”

Weissman, a gifted athlete who starred for his high school’s basketball team, was felled by a stroke. His new dream is to simply appear in one more game at college and hold the ball in his hands one more time, even if it’s just for a few seconds.

Marks will portray a college lacrosse player who eventually becomes Weissman’s girlfriend.

Bob Burris and Bruce Gordon will produce the film, and Michael Levine will direct. “1000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story” is scheduled to begin production in Pennsylvania in October.

Marks most recently appeared on the big screen in “The Amazing Spider-Man” in the Missy Kallenback role and will next be seen in “You Can’t Win” opposite Michael Pitt.

Marks is repped by Untitled Entertainment.
