‘Love Free or Die’ to Wolfe for DVD, VOD

Documentary on gay bishop will also air on PBS

Wolfe Video has acquired the U.S. DVD/VOD rights from Cinephil to documentary “Love Free or Die,” centering on Bishop Gene Robinson’s ordination by the New Hampshire Episcopal Church as the church’s first openly gay bishop.

Director Macky Alston was awarded a special jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

The film will be available for educational/nontheatrical screenings beginning in October through Kino/Lorber in partnership with Wolfe, followed by airings on PBS series “Independent Lens.” Wolfe will release the film on DVD/VOD in 2013.

Robinson was elected bishop in 2003 and entered office in March 2004.
