BEIJING — Singapore’s Media Development Authority has appointed Koh Lin-Net as chief executive from Nov. 1, replacing Aubeck Kam, who will become permanent secretary in the city-state’s new Ministry of Communications and Information.
Lin-Net is the deputy secretary for trade at the trade and industry ministry, and previously worked as deputy secretary responsible for infocomm, media and the arts in 2007-2008. In an email, Kam said that during his two years as MDA chief the org had made “progress in areas such as content development, industry co-sponsored scholarships, public service broadcasting, harmonizing film and TV classifications, and the launch of digital TV, to name a few.”Lin-Net to head Singapore’s MDA
