'Breaking Bad' actress added to Caryn Waechter pic

“Breaking Bad” thesp Laura Fraser has joined the cast of Caryn Waechter’s indie drama “The Sisterhood of Night” along with Kal Penn.

Caryn Waechter is directing from a script by Marilyn S. Fu, who adapted the short story by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Steven Millhauser.

Kara Hayward (“Moonrise Kingdom”) and Georgie Henley (“The Chronicles of Narnia”) star in “Sisterhood of Night,” which follows a group of teenage girls who band together to form a secret society that gathers deep in the forest after dark. A witch hunt ensues when they’re accused of engaging in illicit activities.

Fraser will play a librarian at the girls’ school in suburban New Jersey. Details weren’t immediately available on Penn’s role.

Lydia Dean-Pilcher and Elizabeth Cuthrell are producing the pic, which starts production next week in upstate New York.

Fraser is currently shooting the feature adaptation of David Baldacci’s “Wish You Well” with Mackenzie Foy, Ellen Burstyn and Josh Lucas. She’ll film “Sisterhood of Night” before she returns to the set of AMC’s “Breaking Bad” in December. Fraser joined the cast as a series regular this past season, playing Lydia Rodarte-Quayle. She previously appeared in “A Knight’s Tale” and Julie Taymor’s “Titus,” as well as the TV series “Lip Service.”

Fraser is repped by APA, Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management and Emptage Hallett.
