Overseas rights repped for Italo hit
Rome-based sales company Intramovies has taken on world sales of hit Italian comedy “A Flat for Three,” produced and recently released by Aurelio de Laurentiis’ Filmauro.
“Flat,” which has grossed about $13 million in Italy since its March launch, is centered around three divorced men living under one roof. It toplines popular Italo comic Carlo Verdone and Pierfrancesco Favino, the Italo star increasingly appearing in Hollywood pics, incuding “The Chronicles of Narnia,” “Angels and Demons” and Ron Howard’s upcoming “Rush.”
Other Intramovies market preems at Cannes include “The Lithium Conspiracy,” a thriller set in the international banking world, helmed by Davide Marengo, whose “Notturno Bus” sold widely; and “Love Is in the Air,” a romancer by Italo wunderkind Fausto Brizzi.
