Image picks up U.S. rights to Christian Slater starrer ‘Stranded’

Sci-fi thriller is set on a moonbase

Image Entertainment has picked up all U.S. rights to Roger Christian’s sci-fi thriller “Stranded,” starring Christian Slater.

The movie is produced by Minds Eye Entertainment in association with Moving Pictures Media. Producers are Kevin DeWalt, Mark Montague and Isabella Battiston.

“Stranded” also stars Brendan Fehr, Amy Matysio and Michael Therriault. Image’s chief acquisition officer Bill Bromiley made the announcement at AFM and noted that Image had previously handled “The Tall Man” for Minds Eye.

Story is centered on four astronauts at a moonbase being unexpectedly struck by a series of meteor blasts and realizing that spores on a meteor have the ability to replicate cell structure, reproduce and mutate.

Image was recently acquired by Robert Johnson’s RLJ Entertainment.
