IFC Midnight nabs thriller ‘Replicas’

Jeremy Power Regimbal pic premiered at Tribeca

IFC Midnight has acquired all U.S. rights to Jeremy Power Regimbal’s thriller “Replicas,” which world preemed at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.

Pic stars Selma Blair, Joshua Close, James D’Arcy and Rachel Miner. “Replicas” was produced by Regimbal and Justin Tyler Close and exec produced by Tina Pehme, Kim C. Roberts and Susan Jackson.

Celluloid Nightmares has all foreign rights.

Story follows a family escaping their upscale suburban life in order to spend some quality time at their country home, where an evening with neighbors is interrupted when one man’s obsession with perfection escalates into a violent struggle.

Film is Regimbal’s first feature after helming commercials and musicvideos through his company the Lab Media Group. He and cast member Close co-wrote the script, based on a story from Regimbal and producer Justin Tyler Close, creators of the Lab magazine.

Jackson, of North American sales agent Turtles Crossing, negotiated the sale with Jeff Deutchman of Sundance Selects/IFC Films.
