The Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has endorsed the completed SAG-AFTRA merger with president Matthew D. Loeb sending congratulatory messages to SAG president Ken Howard and AFTRA president Roberta Reardon.
“This demonstrates that the members of both SAG and AFTRA clearly understand the benefits of coming together as one and will present an even stronger voice throughout the entertainment industry,” said Loeb. “In a time when labor is under increasing political pressure from those whose interests are against us, I congratulate president Howard and president Reardon for their leadership, and it is encouraging that the SAG-AFTRA merger will bring greater solidarity to those who work in the entertainment industry.” DGA president Taylor Hackford, WGA West prexy Christopher Keyser and WGA East president Michael Winship issued statements of support for SAG-AFTRA on Friday after staying mum during the campaign.IATSE endorses SAG-AFTRA merger
